“Orthopaedic”

… “relating to the branch of medicine dealing with conditions affecting the bones or muscles

An orthopaedic approach considers the impact of bone, joints, nerves and the connective tissues around them, including, muscles, tendons, ligaments and cartilage.

Orthopaedic Massage- not your traditional massage.

Treatment is multidisciplinary and assessment led.  A full history and appropriate specialist tests are used to assess ligaments, nerves and muscles in order to ascertain the most effective treatment plan for each individual person.  The orthopaedic approach also recognises the psychological impact of coping with pain and reduced mobility and the further impact this then has on the body.

Treatment plans may involve targeted exercises, manual therapy, and education on body mechanics to facilitate recovery and prevent future injuries. Any treatment is adjusted accordingly to the body’s progression. The restoration of musculoskeletal balance and range of motion and reduction in pain then further enables and empowers each individual to progress successfully in strengthening  their bodies.

Whether you have chronic, injury related, post surgical or unexplained pain, an orthopaedic approach can help get you back .
